PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus for joining a plurality of input images together, an image processing method, a program, and an imaging system.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus includes: object image generation means 232 for generating a plurality of object images becoming objects to be searched for in a second input image respectively from a first input image; feature quantity calculation means 234 for calculating a feature quantity to each of the plurality of object images generated by the object image generation means 232; and joining position determination means 246 for determining a joining position to the second input image corresponding to a joining position of a peripheral object image having a feature quantity larger than that of an attention object image with respect to the attention object image of interest out of the plurality of object images whose feature quantities are calculated by the feature quantity calculation means 234. Thus, the joining position among the plurality of input images is detected. |
