According to the present invention, a method to manufacture a reduced iron comprises: preparing iron feedstock and coal ash; mixing the iron feedstock and the coal ash; manufacturing coal briquette by molding a mixed material where the iron feedstock and the coal ash are mixed; inserting the coal briquette into a cart at least a part of which is coated with an assistant; performing heat treatment of the coal briquette; and separating the heat-treated reduced iron and the assistant. As such, in accordance to the embodiment of the present invention, the method of the present invention prevents heat loss to the outside of the cart, and prevents or suppresses an increase in temperature by the heat accumulated on a lower part of the cart even though firing is performed at high temperatures. As such, the method of the present invention reduces quality deviation of the reduced iron.
