A battery management system for unpiloted conveyance vehicles, that shuts down unpiloted conveyance vehicles in order to prevent overdischarging of batteries that are the drive sources for the unpiloted conveyance vehicles, and includes: an area determination unit that determines whether or not the unpiloted conveyance vehicles are in a shutdown avoidance area; a reference value setting unit that sets a smaller shutdown threshold value when the unpiloted conveyance vehicles are in the shutdown avoidance area than when same are not is said area; and a shutdown execution unit that shuts down the unpiloted conveyance vehicles when a battery status value drops lower than a shutdown reference value. |
