摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assure good response when starting turn of a steering wheel from a neutral position, with vibration around neutral being prevented, and to return to a neutral position as much as possible when releasing it from a hand.SOLUTION: A steering control means 12 controls, based on steering angle, a turning motor 7, of a turning mechanism 6 which drives an inter-tie rod shaft 2. The steering control means 12 is provided with a steering reaction force control part 14 which determines positive input when a steering direction is different from a turning reaction force and reverse input when they are in the same direction, and controls a steering reaction force of a steering reaction force motor depending on positive or reverse. At the steering reaction force control part 14, a factor of a viscous term added to a steering reaction force target value is set to be a value larger than a case of positive input if a determination result of an input positive/reverse determination part is a reverse input.
