The present invention relates to a phthalocyanine compound which is represented by chemical formula 1 and is used in a color filter. According to the present invention, a resin composition containing the phthalocyanine compound exhibits excellent solubility in an organic solvent such as propylene glycol methyl ether acetate (PGMEA). In addition, the resin composition also shows high permeability as well. Thus, production of the excellent color filter is possible by using the resin composition.
