In the present invention, an excimer lamp is provided with a light emitting tube (20), an outer electrode (30) disposed on the outside of the light emitting tube (20), and an inner electrode (40) disposed on the inside of the light emitting tube (20). The outer electrode (30) surrounds the light emitting tube (20); more specifically, the outer electrode covers the light emitting tube (20). The radial-direction electrostatic capacitance between the inner electrode (40) and the outer electrode (30) is non-uniform in the circumferential direction, and in the area between the electrodes having a relatively large electrostatic capacitance, dielectric barrier-discharge occurs. |
