Sheet P.V.C. containing a plasticizer and TiO2 is brightened by incorporating the compound on a hot roll.ALSO:The invention comprises the compounds of formula where X and Y are halogen, unsubstituted or substituted alkoxy or aryloxy, alkylmercapto, arylmercapto, amino or substituted amino (including cyclic amino), and the rings A and B may be further substituted, e.g. by halogen, alkyl, cyano, alkylsulphone, sulphonamide, carboxyl or sulphonic acid radicals; and their production by reacting an appropriate 3-(p-aminophenyl)-coumarin with a halotriazine, and if desired exchanging any remaining halogen atoms for appropriate substituents.
