In an automatic injection, compression or blow moulding machine, electrical impulses are produced at predetermined times in each working cycle, the time intervals between successive impulses being checked by time switches set for maximum and minimum times respectively, so that the machine is stopped if it is not functioning correctly. The invention is described as applied to an injection moulding machine having a reversible A.C. motor for operating the injection piston. If the time of a working cycle is too long or too short the machine is stopped and a visual or audible signal is given.</p> |
