摘要 PURPOSE: A liquid crystal alignment agent is provided to have excellent radiosensitivity and to obtain excellent liquid crystal alignment by radiation with low intensity. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal alignment agent contains a polymer which has a structure unit including a group represented by chemical formula 0. In chemical formula 0, each of R^1 and R^2 is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic group. The polymer is polyamic acid, polyimide, or polyester. A forming method of a liquid crystal alignment film comprises a process of forming a coating on a substrate by using the liquid crystal alignment agent; and a step of irradiating the coating with a polarized ultraviolet ray, to obtain liquid crystal alignment.
