A moulded sealing, trimming, beading, window channel or like strip 3 mountable in a channel-shaped groove 6 has a base portion 2 adapted to enter the channel and is formed with a transverse slot 4 having a central opening 5 through which the stiffening or expansion member 1 is inserted into the slot. This member 1 may be laterally resilient and formed from a strip with staggered slits, Fig. 2 (not shown) or formed of sinuous or zig-zag strip or wire, Fig. 5 (not shown).
