According to an embodiment of the present invention, a data cable includes: an interface unit which is connected to a connection port of a mobile communications terminal; a storage unit which stores the data transmitted from the mobile communications terminal and predetermined identification information of the mobile communications terminal; a wire unit transmitting the data received from the mobile communications terminal; a control unit which determines whether a connected mobile communications terminal matches the predetermined mobile communications terminal stored in the storage unit upon sensing the access of the mobile communications terminal through the interface unit, transmits the data received from the mobile communications terminal through the wire unit when the connected mobile communications terminal matches the predetermined mobile communications terminal, and does not transmit the data received from the mobile communications terminal when the connected mobile communications terminal is not the predetermined mobile communications terminal; and a display unit which displays information indicating the data received from the mobile communications terminal not being available for transmission when the connected mobile communications terminal is different from the mobile communications terminal.
