The present invention relates to an intercommunication system using alternating current (AC) power lines and, more specifically, to an intercommunication system using AC power lines allowing data communication between devices while supplying power to devices within apartment complexes using AC power lines. The intercommunication system using AC power lines according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a pair of AC power lines consisting of a AC power line in common use and an AC power line within the area; a transformer of which a primary side is connected to the terminal of the AC power line in common use and a secondary side is connected to the tip of the AC power lines within the area for reducing the AC voltage in common use to a lower AC voltage; a power unit for converting the AC voltage reduced by branching off from the AC power line within the area to a direct current (DC) voltage necessary for operations of a device; a communication module branching off between the AC power line within the area and the power unit so as to transfer data of the device to another device via the AC power line within the area and produce data on the device after receiving data from another device via the AC power line within the area; and a device connected to the power unit and the communication module so as to be operated by receiving the DC power from the power unit and perform data communication via the communication module. |
