<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve precision for specifying an individual from a subject in an image. <P>SOLUTION: In an image processing section 4, a face detection section 20 and a face analysis section 21 face-recognize a through image by using simple face feature information in a half depression state of a shutter in addition to a full depression state for preventing missing of taking an image. When a specified person who is previously registered is detected to exist as the subject, a CPU 7 focuses on the face of the specified person to image the person with an imaging section 2 and to store it in a recording section 10. The CPU 7 refers to a management table 24 and re-analyzes the imaged image by using detailed face feature information of the specified person. When the specified person does not exist as the subject, the image is divided.
