FIELD: physics.SUBSTANCE: group of inventions includes a developing device and an adjustment element. The developing device comprises a developer transfer element for transferring and feeding developer, an adjustment part for adjusting the coverage of the developer transferred on said developer transfer element. Said adjustment part includes a peripheral part in close proximity to the surface of said developer transfer element or includes a flat part inclined in close proximity at an angle of 2 degrees or less relative to the contact plane in contact with the surface of the developer transfer element, and a straightening part for straightening the developer stream. Said straightening part is connected to the peripheral part or to the input end of the flat part at the input side of said adjustment part relative to the direction of feeding the developer. In the cross-section perpendicular to the axial direction of said developer transfer element, when coordinates are set such that the upper end of the flat part or the peripheral part is the coordinate origin E, the direction which is parallel to the contact plane and opposite to the direction of feeding the developer is the positive side of the X axis; the direction which is perpendicular to the X axis and which extends from said developer transfer element, is the positive side of the Y axis and the shortest distance between said adjustment part and said developer transfer element is equal to G, in the region where the X axis component is equal to 3G or less; said straightening part has a concave surface such that the degree of reduction of the gap between said straightening part and the contact plane increases towards the output direction of feeding the developer, and is formed by smooth connection of straight lines, each 0.2 mm or less, or curved lines, each 0.2 mm or less, except the coordinate origin E, so that the gap between said straightening part and the contact plane monotonously decreases towards the output direction of feeding the developer.EFFECT: providing a developing device and an adjustment element which enable realisation of a design which provides stable developer density without the need for high precision of components and high precision of adjustment.16 cl, 12 dwg |
