PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add an optimum emphasis waveform according to the communication standards to be used to a test signal.SOLUTION: An emphasis addition device 1 which applies emphasis to a digital test signal to be input to a test object comprises: an operation unit 2 which inputs a setting value according to the communication standards to be used; a switching unit 4 which switches a pre-emphasis mode and a de-emphasis mode according to the communication standards to be used; a setting value calculation unit 7 which calculates an amount of amplitudes increased or decreased with respect to an amplitude voltage value serving as a reference of the communication standards to be used on the basis of the setting value input from the operation unit 2 in the mode switched by the switching unit 4; and an emphasis waveform addition unit 8 which generates an emphasis waveform based on the amount of amplitudes calculated by the setting value calculation unit 7 and adds it to the test signal. |
