A printing system comprises a printing control apparatus and a printing apparatus. The printing apparatus comprises a receiving part for receiving data transmitted from the printing control apparatus, and a power control part for running the printing apparatus in a first power saving state or a second power saving state. The printing control apparatus comprises an acquisition part for acquiring a power state of the printing apparatus, and a control part which runs the printing control apparatus in an off state in case the acquired power state is the first power saving state, and runs the printing apparatus in a power saving state capable of transmitting a wake-up packet to restore the printing apparatus from the second power saving state. |
