FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: exposure represents direct electric current generated by skin plate electrodes. The anode in the form of two elongated rectangular electrodes is placed in a suprapubic area symmetrically in relation to a skin projection of an abdominal line so that longer sides of the electrodes are parallel with it, while one of shorter sides is found within a lower border of the suprapubic region. The cathode in the form of two square electrodes is placed in a perineum and within a sacral bone. A primary tolerance threshold is detected by absence of pain, and initial current and voltage are determined. First 10-15 minutes of the session involve an increase of working voltage at a pitch of 0.1 V with the tolerance threshold detected once again by absence of pain. During the session until the end thereof, tissue resistance between the anode and cathode is recorded. If the above value is 250 kOhm or more, the working voltage is additionally increased at a pitch of 0.1 V to the tolerance threshold detected by absence of pain. The treatment requires 3-5 sessions every 2-4 weeks.EFFECT: method enables providing higher clinical effectiveness that is ensured by selecting an individual regimen of the electric exposure taking into account the pain tolerance threshold, as well as by sizing and localising the electrodes with respect to the anatomical position of prostate so as to ensure the most complete coverage thereof.3 cl, 3 dwg, 1 ex |
