<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the data amount of an upper-layer residual signal that is the difference between an original image signal and the upper-layer residual signal. <P>SOLUTION: An image decoding module is provided with: a code input part 51 which inputs an (N-Δ)-bit coded image signal; an image signal decoding part 52 which decodes the coded image signal input by the code input part 51; a bit depth expansion part 53 which expands the bit depth of the image signal to N-bits, using each bit of the image signal decoded by the image signal decoding part 52; and a reconstruction part 54 which adds a Δ-bit bit value to the image signal the bit width of which is expanded by the bit depth expansion part 53 to reconstruct the image signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
