摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to design a controller that is able to optimize a control performance for a plant (e.g., a vehicle equipped with an engine) in which a discrete event and a continuous event are mixed.SOLUTION: Control performances (e.g., fuel consumption and a quantity of exhaust gas) to be optimized are set as a target function by expressing a characteristic (e.g.,the fuel consumption characteristic of an engine) of a plant and a control condition (e.g., a constraint condition for a remaining amount of battery) as a mixed integer programming problem, and also load outputs (e.g., running load and vehicle speed), which are prerequisites, and environmental conditions (e.g., temperature and wind speed) are set (steps 101 to 103). Thereafter, controller output (e.g., engine output) is calculated by solving the mixed integer programming problem so as to optimize a target function while satisfying the load outputs and environmental conditions, plant conditions (e.g., a remaining amount of a battery, and so on) are calculated based on the controller output by using a vehicle simulator, and the controller is designed based on the controller output and plant conditions (step 104 to 107).
