<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging unit in which light regularly reflected on an inner wall surface of a windshield can be suppressed from becoming disturbance light, foreign substances deposited on the windshield of a vehicle can be detected, and vehicle periphery information can also be imaged. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging unit comprises a cover 210 which is fixed inside a vehicle and an imaging apparatus 201 which is accommodated in the cover 210. On the cover 210, an opening 230 is formed for passing light through an angle-of-view range of an imaging lens 204. A peripheral portion of the opening 230 is adhered to an inner wall surface 105a of a windshield 105, and the cover 210 has a smooth surface 210a inside. At an intersection of an extension extending a normal line obtained by extending a normal line of a portion, which faces the opening 230, in the windshield 105 to the smooth surface 210a and the smooth surface 210a, the extension and a normal line of the smooth surface 210a are parallel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
