[Also in Division B5] A heat-insulated duct of polygonal or rectangular cross-section has walls comprising plates of 0.6 to 5% by weight of a binder mixed with a mineral wool of weight/volume ratio of 80 to 500 Kgs per cubic metre, the plates being provided with a gas-tight covering material on at least one side. The binder is a phenol or melamine thermo-setting resin. The covering is aluminium foil interleaved with a plastics material resin reinforced with glass fibre, if desired. The covering is wrapped around the wall elements 3 to 6 which have their bevelled edges glued together, the end of the covering 9 forming a flap which overlaps one corner.</p> |
