A polyphase rectifier assembly comprises parallel semi-conductor diodes mounted on conducting discs around a plurality of concentric tubular conductors, the innermost one being a neutral conductor. The impedances between the terminal area of a disc and each diode are equal and a further conducting disc mounted parallel to the first has the other connections of the diodes arranged on it in such a way that the impedances between the terminal area of the further disc and each diode are equal. Holes or grooves may be made in the discs to equalise the impedance of different discs or to compensate for the terminal area not being at the centre of the circle on which the diodes are disposed.</p> |
