The present invention relates to an antifouling paint composition with long-term antifouling properties and excellent friction resistance reduction properties, and to a production method thereof. More specifically, disclosed is an antifouling paint composition which is a self-abrasion-type binder resin and comprises: an ester compound; and a silyl acrylate-based monomer as a radical polymerizable unsaturated monomer. Thus, the molecular weight and hydrophilic-lipophilic balance are regulated. Due to such effects, the antifouling paint composition exhibits long-term antifouling properties and excellent friction resistance reduction properties due to the long-term uniform attrition rate. In addition, disclosed is a production method thereof.
