The X-ray apparatus may include: a collimator for controlling an X-ray irradiation region; a data acquisition part for acquiring position information of a target in an object on the basis of an electrode signal sensed from a plurality of electrodes attached to the object; and a control part for setting first coordinates indicating a position of the target on a first coordinate system with respect to the object on the basis of the position information, transforming the first coordinates to second coordinates on a second coordinate system with respect to an X-ray image of the object, and controlling a position of the collimator on the basis of the second coordinates.
