The supply apparatus (40, Figure 2) is for supplying a spring seat 14 and a valve stem seal 16, which is placed on the spring seat, to a valve guide 12 of an engine cylinder head 10. The apparatus holds the spring seat and the valve stem seal and includes a hollow cylindrical main body (42, Figure 3) with an annular suction surface 50 for attracting the spring seat under suction. The main body 42 also has a storage recess 52 defined therein, radially inwardly of the suction surface, for storing the valve stem seal. The annular suction surface has suction holes 50a defined therein. The suction holes are machined in the main body and are formed integrally with the main body. The storage recess may include an upper storage region (52a, Figure 4) divided from a lower storage 52b region by a step. |
