A method of controlling a multimedia conference includes: allocating at least one cascading resource to each conference group of at least two conference groups; connecting the cascading resources of different conference groups, such that the cascading resource of one conference group is only connected with one cascading resource of another conference group, and any conference group can be directly or indirectly connected with another conference group via the cascading resources; transmitting a data stream after audio mixing, which is to be transmitted among the conference groups via the connected cascading resources; the data stream of the conference group from said at least two conference groups is transmitted to the cascading resource of another conference group from said at least two conference groups, such that there is communication between participants present in said at least two conference groups.EFFECT: eliminating limits on the number of multimedia conference participants through cascading resources.10 cl, 14 dwg |
