A fungicidal composition contains as active ingredient tetrachloro-o-cresol or a salt thereof and one or more of the following:- surface active agents, solid diluents and organic non solvents. Specified salts are those formed with metals e.g. Li, Na, Cu, K or Ca, ammonia or alkylamines. Other fungicides may be present e.g. sulphur, cuprousoxide or copper oxychloride, nickel hydroxide, TM. T. D or creosote. The active ingredients may be formulated as solutions, suspensions, dusts, wettable powders and dispersions to treat wood, fabrics, paints, plastics, varnishes, p glues and plaster. The compositions may contain anionic, non-ionic or cationic surface active agents, stickers and antiflocculants.
