The present invention relates to a biomarker for diagnosing mild cognitive impairment (MCI), to a kit for diagnosing MCI comprising a preparation measuring the expression level of mRNA or a protein of a gene thereof, and to an MCI diagnosing method using the same. The PAI1 biomarker in the present invention for diagnosing MCI of a MCI patient is significantly increased compared to a normal person, thereby being useful in an MCI diagnosing biomarker, an MCI diagnosing kit, and an MCI diagnosing method.
