The present invention relates to a power supply system and method using a prepayment method. More specifically, the power supply system using a prepayment method: reduces the system construction cost since an electric outlet is not required to be connected to a network by controlling a smart outlet through near-field communications between a mobile device and the smart outlet and performing prepayment between the mobile device and a server; enables anyone to easily use the system without pre-registration through a prepay billing system; and compiles statistics on power usage and payment amount by each user, by each outlet, and by each affiliated store to be utilized as basic data to provide better services to users or affiliated stores. To this end, the power supply system comprises: an identification information storage module for storing distinctive identification information; a power control module for turning on a switch by an external control command to enable power supply; and a smart outlet for measuring the amount of power supplied by the power control module in real time to allow the power to be supplied by a predetermined amount of power and/or for a predetermined period of time only. |
