Disclosed are a display device having a scope of an accreditation associated with the depth of a virtual object, and a method for controlling the same. According to the present invention, the display device outputs a three-dimensional image including the virtual object. Also, the scope of the accreditation, which is accredited as an input object selects, is set in the virtual object. Herein, the scope of the accreditation is set in association with the depth of the virtual object in a direction of increasing or decreasing the depth of the virtual object which indicates the degree of the distance of the virtual object from a gaze of a user in the three-dimensional image. Accordingly, the possibility, in which the user can not select the depth of the virtual object due to the delusion on the same, decreases when the virtual object provided to the three-dimensional image is selected. |
