CUTTING APPARATUS OF INSULATION TAPE FOR BATTERY

The present invention relates to an apparatus for cutting an insulation tape received from an insulation tape supply unit in a designated length during a process of affixing the insulation tape on the outside of an electric vehicle battery. More specifically, the apparatus for cutting insulation tape for a battery comprises: a cutter body installed on a location for cutting the insulation tape; a roller-type guide means consisting of two disks, having a roller shape with a groove formed between the two disks, and guiding the insulation tape along the outer circumferential surface of the disks; and a cutter blade disposed in the groove of the roller-type guide means to cut the insulation tape guided by the roller-type guide means. A position of the cuter blade does not need to be adjusted, and the insulation tape can be accurately cut by the roller-type guide means mounted on the cutter blade even when tape tension is rather loose or incorrectly adjusted by a worker to minimize a defect caused by a worker mistake. The apparatus is provided in a roll type to secure constant cutting quality regardless of a tension defect of the insulation tape which can intermittently occur if the insulation tape is continuously supplied.
