The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating cancer containing an anterior gradient 2 (AGR2) dimer-specific inhibitor as an active component. The AGR2 overexpressed in a metastatic tumor such as colon adenocarcinoma, intestine cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, esophageal cancer, liver cancer exists as a homo-dimer by a disulfide bond in a cancer cell host, and the AGR2 dimer attenuates endoplasmic reticulum stress-induced cell death, and reacts with BiP/GRP78, so the specific inhibitor or antibody of the AGR2 dimer is used in diagnosis or treatment of cancer. |
