Disclosed are a booting image recovery system and a recovery method thereof. The booting image recovery system of the present invention comprises: a detection unit for detecting an error of a booting image; a determination unit for determining a point of time when the error of the booting image has occurred; a selection unit for selecting one device from an external device and an internal device depending on the point of time when the error has occurred; and a recovery unit for performing recovery of the booting image by using recovery data obtained from the selected device.
