<p>PURPOSE:To perform high-speed operation within a wide wavelength range by providing a light quantity control element which controls the reflection direction of irradiated light by inflecting and deforming a movable thin film with electrostatic force between charges in the movable thin film and a peripheral electric field under a vacuum. CONSTITUTION:The light quantity control element 3 is irradiated with light from a light source 1 through a condenser lens 2. The element 3 controls the quantity of reflected light traveling toward an image forming lens 4 and a photosensitive body 5 is exposed to the light through the lens 4. The top surface electrode plate 102 of the element 3 is obtained by forming a transparent conductive film as an electrode on a glass substrate and the reverse surface electrode plate 103 is obtained by forming a transparent conductive film as an electrode under the glass substrate. The movable thin film 101 of gold is formed on the electrode plate 103 while one end is adhered through an adhesive layer 104 and the electrode plate 102 is provided across spacers 108 and 109. The space 110 where the thin film 101 is present is held under a vacuum and a voltage is impressed between the electrode plates 102 and 103 to produce an electric field at the periphery of the thin film 101. Thus, this printer is used over a wide wavelength range and operates at a high speed.</p> |
