Stent and barb

A stent is described and comprises an elongate strut having a first end and a second end, an aperture formed in the strut, and a barb having a base and a distal anchor. The barb base is attached to the strut and the barb extends distally from the base through the aperture. Other devices, systems, and methods are described.

1. A stent comprising:
a plurality of elongate struts each having a first end and a second end; an aperture formed in at least one of the plurality of struts; and a barb having a base and a distal anchor; where the barb base is attached to the at least one of the plurality of elongate struts and the barb extends distally from the base through the aperture; where the at least one of the plurality of elongate struts has a longitudinal axis and the barb extends from the at least one of the plurality of elongate struts at an oblique angle to the longitudinal axis and where the barb frictionally engages the stent within the aperture.
