Provided is a method for driving a capacitive touch panel. The method for driving a capacitive touch panel according to the present invention can enhance the accuracy of a touch point and reduce the power consumption, by ensuring sufficient sampling time assigned to a plurality of transmission electrodes. A compressed driving method according to the present invention divides a full scan into a first scan and a second scan. In the first scan, a plurality of transmission electrodes is configured as a group, and signals are sequentially or simultaneously applied to determine a first analysis position. In the second scan, since a plurality of sampling times can be sufficiently ensured by sequentially or simultaneously applying signals at the first analysis position, a second analysis position which is an accurate touch point can be determined. In addition, the power consumption can be reduced since a second scan signal is applied only to the first analysis position determined through the first scan. |
