PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character code management method which, when there exists a character (e.g., an external character) uniquely correlated to a character code by a device that transmits character information, correlates the character to the character code of a device that receives the character information.SOLUTION: A character code management method is characterized in that an information system holds character correlation information in which correspondence between a character code and the character graphic of a character correlated to the character code is registered. When character information including a character graphic transmitted from an other information system is received, the information system acquires a character graphic corresponding to the received character information and compares the acquired character graphic with the character graphic included in the received character information, and, when the acquired character graphic resembles the character graphic included in the received character information, correlates a character indicated by the character graphic included in the received character information to a character code corresponding to the acquired character graphic. |
