PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food molding apparatus capable of efficiently producing a tabular cooked rice to be required in making a rolled sushi.SOLUTION: A food molding apparatus includes a rolling section 4 for rolling a food material, a movable carrying section 6 for carrying the food material rolled in the rolling section 4, and a detecting section 10 for detecting the presence of the food material in the direction crossing the moving direction of the carrying section 6. The carrying section 6 moves the carrying face 61 or stops the movement of the carrying face 61 under predetermined conditions depending on the detection result by the detecting section 10. |
