PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that weld strength of a ground electrode chip is deficient in a welding process of a ground electrode chip, when inclination of a ground electrode member is not uniform for a main metal fitting, because the welding conditions are not stable.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a spark plug has a bonding step for bonding a rod-like ground electrode member to the tip of a main metal fitting, an inclination step for inclining the ground electrode member in the radial direction of the main metal fitting, a straightening step for reducing the inclination angle of the ground electrode member below an allowable inclination angle, and a welding step for welding a ground electrode chip to the ground electrode member. |
