PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique which can extend the service life of a cutting blade.SOLUTION: When cutting a cutting object S placed on a placement surface 31 of a stage 3, in the state where a vibrator 22 is vibrated to cause ultrasonic vibration in a resonator 21, a drive mechanism 4 moves the resonator 21 in a pull-cutting direction X orthogonal to the vibration direction and parallel to a cutting blade 23 while moving it in a press-cutting direction Z parallel to the vibration direction of the vibrator 22. Since the object S is cut by the cutting blade 23 in the state where press-cutting and pull-cutting in a knife are combined, the sharpness at the time of cutting the object S with the cutting blade 23 is improved and the load at the time of cutting the object S can be further reduced. Therefore, damage on the cutting blade 23 is further suppressed and the service life of the cutting blade 23 can be extended. |
