PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a bending moment generated at a top part of a tower to be reduced and a risk of collapse of a wind turbine to be reduced.SOLUTION: A horizontal shaft type wind turbine of this invention comprises a rotor having a hub and three or more blades; a nacelle for pivotally supporting the rotor through a rotating shaft connected to the hub; a tower supporting the nacelle; and a control part for controlling at least a pitch angle of the blade. The control part detects that the rotor freely rotates and the pitch angle of one blade cannot be controlled and when it detects the blade of which pitch angle cannot be controlled, it sets a normal blade pitch angle to one becoming either a fine side or a negative fine side. |
