The present invention relates to a power generating rumble strips comprising: a road pavement having a main excavated section formed by a first and second excavated portions, said second excavated portion being deeper than said first excavated portion; an actuating means being provided on top of said main excavated section; a primary hydraulic means provided on said second excavated portion and being operably configured with said actuating means to release pressurized hydraulic fluid; a secondary hydraulic means being operably configured with said primary hydraulic means to utilize said pressurized hydraulic fluid for inducing retractable motion; an armature mover manifold being retractably secured with respect to the motion of said secondary hydraulic means; and at least a linear generator being operably secured to said armature mover manifold to produce electric energy.
