PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acoustic wave element capable of reducing deformation of a cover body, and a communication device.SOLUTION: The acoustic wave element of the present invention includes: a piezoelectric substrate 2; an excitation electrode 3 arranged on the piezoelectric substrate 2; an electrode pad 3a arranged on the piezoelectric substrate 2 and electrically connected to the excitation electrode 3; a cover body 6 which has a frame part 4 arranged on the piezoelectric substrate 2 and surrounding the excitation electrode 3, and a lid part 5 arranged on the frame part 4; and a circuit pattern 7 arranged in the cover body 6 and electrically connected to the electrode pad 3a. The circuit pattern 7 is arranged in a region not overlapping the excitation electrode 3. |
