PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that can enhance visibility of a light display indicating the state of a communication port.SOLUTION: A modular jack has a housing member having a plug insertion port in the front surface thereof, a modular plug being inserted in the plug insertion port, a plug locking portion which is provided in the plug insertion port and locked to a locked portion provided to the base portion of the modular plug, thereby preventing the modular plug from falling off from the plug insertion port, and a light source which is provided in the plug insertion port and irradiates the base portion of the modular plug with light. When the base portion of the modular plug is formed of a material having light transmissivity, light irradiated from the light source is passed through the base portion and guided to the outside of the housing member. |
