PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-display system in which respective display devices can be flexibly arranged, positions where the display devices themselves are arranged can be specified without performing any previous setting, and large-screen display can be made, and to provide a display device, a position specification method, a computer program and a recording medium.SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of display devices of a multi-display system which has the plurality of display devices arranged side by side in a matrix and displays images corresponding to positions where the respective display devices are arranged, includes: a communication part which communicates with adjacent display devices; a determination part which determines whether or not there are adjacent display devices on respective sides of a self device in a row direction and a column direction; an acquisition part which makes the communication part communicate with display devices adjacent to sides on which the determination part determines that a display device is present, and acquires the number of other display devices which are arranged on sides on which that the determination part determines that a display device is present and different from the self device; and a specification part which specifies the position where the self device is arranged on the basis of the number that the acquisition part acquires and the determination result of the determination part. |
