PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power to be consumed in start-up processing when multiple kinds of start-up processing are executed in parallel for enabling printing, and to reduce the power to be wasted during start-up.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a plurality of start-up processing execution sections that start supplying power to sections where no power is supplied yet, to perform start-up processing during start-up period in order to enable printing on the image forming apparatus; a storage section which stores required-time data on the time required for each processing; and a control section which controls operation of the start-up processing execution sections, determines start-up processing to be executed, starts from first start-up processing which requires the longest time among the start-up processing to be executed, on the basis of the required-time data, and starts second start-up processing so that all second start-up processing other than the first start-up processing may be ended in synchronization with the end of the first start-up processing. |
