PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood flow non-blocking balloon catheter of a low profile, the catheter that can be press-contacted with a lumen wall, a stent in the lumen or a stent graft without stopping a blood flow when a balloon is extended in the lumen.SOLUTION: A balloon catheter 1 includes one balloon 3 provided at a distal side of a catheter shaft 2, and three thread parts 11 extending on the outside of the balloon over the overall length along the axial direction of the catheter shaft and disposed at regular intervals in the circumferential direction to each other. The balloon is partially regulated in an extension by the thread parts and is radially extended from the spaces between adjacent thread parts, and forms three balloon extensions 3a-3c divided in the circumferential direction. As a result, gaps 14a-14c are formed between a lumen wall 13 and a balloon extension outer circumferential surface, and thereby the blood can be made to flow therethrough without being stopped. |
