PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a clear toner layer with improved smoothness with less amount of toner, without any influence of gray level of a color toner layer, to prevent gloss reduction and fixing failure.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a first image forming section; one or a plurality of second image forming sections; a transfer section; a fixing section; a gloss processing section which calculates a first developer amount and fixing temperature required for obtaining a target gloss, when input image data includes information using first developer, on the basis of a difference between the target gloss and a gloss based on gray-level density of second developer in an area using the first developer, in reference to preset information on the relation between the first developer amount and the fixing temperature for obtaining the target gloss; and a control section which controls image forming processing by use of the first developer amount and the fixing temperature. |
