PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which allows for simultaneous shooting of different polarization images by a simple configuration.SOLUTION: In an imaging element where a plurality of light-receiving elements are arranged for one on-chip lens on an imaging surface on which a subject image is focused by means of a taking lens, the on-chip lens includes an imaging element arranged so that the exit pupil of the taking lens and the light-receiving element are in conjugate relationship, a polarization filter substantially arranged at the position of the exit pupil of the taking lens, and having a plurality of regions of different polarization direction corresponding to the plurality of different regions of the exit pupil, and an image processing section generating a plurality of images corresponding to the plurality of regions of the polarization filter, from the outputs of the plurality of light-receiving elements. |
