PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improvement countermeasure of a method for treating copper-containing molybdenum ore useful for separately recovering molybdenum and copper from a copper-containing molybdenum mineral concentrate.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for treating copper-containing molybdenum ore including: a step where, while feeding an oxygen-containing gas to an acidic aqueous solution of 50 to 100°C containing chloride ions of 100 to 200 g/L, copper ions of 1 to 30 g/L and iron ions of 1 to 10 g/L, copper-containing molybdenum ore is contacted with the acidic aqueous solution to leach a copper component; and a step where solid-liquid separation is performed to obtain a leach rear liquid and a leach residue.
